Let's not talk about Religion

Religion is a subject that is very personal.

We are all born into this world with the freedom to choose what religion we want to follow. Whether its Christianity or Buddhism, or just religion of loving the earth and each other. There is one thing all religions have in common.  An argumentative factor of why this one or that one is better, or more superior than the next.

I would like to believe that there has been more of a positive outcome and joy from the power of religion. It has brought miracles and happiness into the lives of many.

The interesting thing is that just about every religion is based on morals of being good to each other, trust, love and peace. You would think this would be uniting the human race. Although despairingly ...over thousands of years,...wars, heartache and pain have been the outcomes of ones religious beliefs. Many times it has been a disagreement over an opinion, of whose religion is true. The havoc and trials have caused so much sorrow. Please stop this sadness.

This world is made up of many people. Each and every one of them born with a brain of their own. A brain that makes a decision at some point to pick a belief. I come from the school of thought that welcomes all of them. I have my beliefs. This doesn't mean someone else doesn't have the right to have theirs.

We are not all born into a world where we can choose our own religion. We, you and I, were lucky enough to be born in a place and family that gave us that freedom. There are many places and families that do not give their children that choice. We need to remember how lucky we are to live in this country

You may be born into a religion and not be able to choose while you are young. This doesn't mean when you get to a certain age, you can't change your mind. Even in other countries this happens. I have heard of people changing their religions at all ages and all over the world. It is always ultimately the choice of the single person. Even if its just in their own head.
